Job summary

Troon is seeking a part-time Golf Course Starter/Ranger at Esplanade at St Marys in St. Marys, GA. You will greet players, explain rules, and support pace of play while ensuring a positive guest experience.

Responsibilities include managing tee starts, maintaining starting sheets, and coordinating with the Golf Shop. Availability for early mornings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Must be available to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Possesses basic math skills.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Starts players on the first tee, explaining the rules of play for the day.
• Maintains an accurate starting sheet so the whereabouts of players are known.
• Cues groups to move to the first tee and ensures only one group is on the tee at a time.
• Tours the golf course, assisting players to maintain the posted pace of play.
• Maintains spacing on the course to avoid delays.
• Communicates with the Golf Shop on a regular basis.
• Assists golfers when needed.
