Job summary

The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) is seeking a part-time, temporary GIS data collection and processing specialist to support spatial econometric model development and socioeconomic forecasting in the Office of Research and Innovation. Familiarity with local government data and ArcGIS tools is preferred.

The role is up to 29 hours per week and not benefits-eligible. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or be enrolled in a related program, with proficiency in

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a GIS-related field, or currently enrolled in a related degree program.
Proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.

Responsibilities

Collects and processes spatial data: Census, parcel, tax digest, zoning, land use, group quarters, college enrollment and regional growth data.
Supports employment estimation, socioeconomic forecasting, spatial economic modeling and regional growth scenario analysis.
Performs other duties as assigned to support agency goals.
