Job summary

Rutgers University‑Newark seeks a Coadjutant to conduct research in support of the Newark Public Safety Collaborative’s mission to democratize access to data and analysis. The position will obtain, evaluate, validate, and ground-truth place-based environmental feature data from large datasets and other sources.

The role involves GIS-based research, data integration from official databases, assessing data quality, resolving discrepancies, and documenting findings to support NPSC’s work.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in criminal justice, criminology, or a related field.
• Strong research and analytical skills, including experience working with large or complex datasets.
