Job summary

Southshore Health in Weymouth, MA is seeking a Resource Nurse for the SSH Geriatric Emerson 3 unit. This part-time role leads clinical operations during assigned shifts, assigns staff, and ensures patient flow and care progression.

You will support staff with patient care, participate in huddles, and act as a clinical resource. Requires BSN in progress or completed, MA RN license, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• BSN required or must be acquired within 3 years of hire.
• Three years full-time employment or equivalent in specialty nursing preferred.
• RN license in Massachusetts.
• Certifications may include BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to plan, organize and direct the activities of others.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical operations of the department for a defined shift.
• Assist staff with patient care as needed.
• Will assume a patient assignment as necessary.
• Review department staffing for current and next shift and assign accordingly.
• Provide direction and clinical oversight of colleagues during the shift.
• Remain informed about department quality initiatives and safety processes.
