Job summary

Laurel Ridge Community College seeks an adjunct Geology instructor to teach college-level courses, including possible online courses, at the Middletown Campus, Fauquier Campus, and Luray-Page County Center as needed.

The position is part-time, with no health or leave benefits, and candidates should reside in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland or DC. Applicants must submit unofficial transcripts with their application. Compensation is calculated per credit hour.

Qualifications

• Masters in the field or Masters with 18 graduate credits in the field.
• Ability to use instructional technology is required.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Teach college-level Geology courses, including online formats.
• Deliver instruction on-site and at multiple campus locations as needed.
• Prepare syllabi, assessments, and student evaluations.
• Engage with students in a diverse learning environment.
