Job summary

University of Arizona invites applications for a part-time Adjunct Assistant Professor of Practice in the Genetic Counseling Graduate Program. The successful candidate will teach introductory and advanced coursework, including the Clinical Skills Workshop and Clinical Cancer Genetics, and participate in student research activities.

Ideal candidates hold an advanced degree in human genetics, with at least two years’ clinical/industry experience and at least one year of teaching or mentoring

Qualifications

• An advanced degree in human genetics or a closely related field.
• At least two years of professional experience in a clinical or industry setting related to human genetics or genetic counseling.
• At least one year of experience teaching, instructing, mentoring, or supporting graduate-level students in a related academic or professional setting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an instructor for up to one course during the Fall and Spring semesters, or co-instructor/TA for up to one course.
• Participate in and support student research activities within the U of A Genetic Counseling Graduate Program.
• Participate in curriculum review and admissions processes and contribute to program/college/university service.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development related to course design and instruction.
