Job summary

Cabarrus-Rowan Community Health Center in North Carolina seeks a General Dentist to provide dental health care to eligible individuals and support a patient-centered health home model. The Dentist will achieve meaningful use of electronic health records as standards evolve and expand.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating diseases of teeth and gums, educating patients on oral health, and documenting encounters in the dental chart and EHR.

Qualifications

• English language reading/writing required.
• Professional interaction with patients and staff.
• Work in a Patient Centered Medical Home model.
• Commit to commuting between CRCHC sites.
• Graduate of a US-accredited School of Dentistry.

Responsibilities

• Provide dental care for patients by diagnosing and treating diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth and gums.
• Educate patients on oral health care and disease prevention.
• Document encounters in the patient’s dental chart and electronic health record.
• Assist with treatment options and agree on plans with patients.
• Refer individuals for specialty consultation when needed.
• Maintain patient dental records and manage routine equipment/budgets.
