High Country Community Health in North Carolina seeks a Staff Dentist to provide clinical dental services and preventive care in a community health center setting. This full-time exempt position reports to the COO and supports a team of dental assistants and hygienists.

You will diagnose and treat routine and preventive conditions, maintain accurate records, participate in program planning, and help develop department policies in line with current professional standards.

Formación

• Graduation from an accredited dental school.
• Completion of an accredited general practice residency preferred.
• Knowledge of community health principles preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to maintain clinical privileges; hospital privileges preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Examines individuals, diagnoses dental conditions, prescribes and directs appropriate treatment.
• Maintains patient records in the electronic dental record with complete referrals and paperwork.
• Supervises dental assistants and hygienists.
• Maintains full schedule in collaboration with the Dental Office Manager.
• Educates patients on oral health and disease prevention.
• Serves on dental staff and center committees as assigned.
• Assists in continuing education, training, and orientation of staff.
• Assists with designing and implementing Dental Department policies in line with standards.
• Provides health education to the community as requested.
• Participates in short and long-term planning for the Dental Department and agency.
