Job summary

Tifa Chocolate & Gelato in Agoura Hills is seeking detail-oriented gelato chefs for a part-time role. You will produce daily gelato batches, craft limited-run flavors, and uphold quality and food safety standards. The position includes a paid training-to-hire program with potential advancement to Lead Gelato Chef.

Training culminates in a regular part-time schedule (0–29 hours/week). You will work with the Operations Team Lead and Owner, handle inventory, support catering, and assist

Qualifications

• 2+ years gelato/ice cream or baking experience.
• Strong understanding of dairy chemistry, stabilizers, emulsifiers, sugar balance, overrun, and freezing points.
• Food safety certification (ServSafe or local equivalent).
• Ability to follow and document recipes precisely and adapt formulations for scale.

Responsibilities

• Produce daily batches of gelato, sorbetto, and gelato-based specialties per recipes and schedules.
• Create limited-run flavors as assigned.
• Monitor and report inventory; request ingredients as needed.
• Maintain production records and recipe documentation; minimize waste.
• Operate and maintain gelato equipment with attention to sanitation and safety.
