Job summary

Montgomery College is seeking an adjunct/part-time faculty member to teach foundational topics in game design, programming and interactive technology at the Rockville Campus. The instructor will teach TECH 295 (Mixed Media & Board Game Design) and guide students in project-based learning and portfolio development.

Qualified applicants hold a master's degree in a relevant field or have a master's plus interactive media industry experience, with experience in AR/VR and a commitment to inclusive

Qualifications

Masters degree in Game Design, CS, Interactive Media, Education, Counseling, or equivalent with interactive media experience.
Proficiency in immersive technology frameworks.
Commitment to inclusion and belonging in education.

Responsibilities

Teach introductory and advanced courses in computer gaming, simulation and interactive media.
Incorporate AR/VR and board game design into curricula.
Mentor students and help build professional portfolios for the gaming industry.
Develop syllabi, assign coursework, maintain academic records, and provide feedback using Blackboard.
