Job summary

Montgomery College in Rockville seeks a full-time Construction Management faculty member to begin January 2027. The role involves teaching CM courses, advising students, curriculum development, and service to the department using Blackboard and other instructional tech.

Ideal candidates have at least ten years in construction management, with the ability to teach face-to-face, online, hybrid, and blended formats to a diverse student body in the Washington Metro area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction-related discipline.
• Ten years of industry experience in construction management.
• Experience with cost estimates, reading drawings and specs.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Sage Estimating, OST and Primavera P6.
• Ability to use LMS and web-based instructional tech.
• Experience teaching with multiple delivery methods.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Preferred: Master's degree and familiarity with Blackboard Learn, Zoom, Screencast-O-Matic, Procore, AutoCAD, Revit, BIM.

Responsibilities

• Teach multiple CM courses and develop syllabi aligned with college outcomes.
• Advise students, participate in program-related events and committees.
• Utilize Blackboard and instructional technology to support learning.
• Deliver courses in face-to-face, online, hybrid, and blended formats.
• Maintain professional development and engagement with the construction industry.
