Job summary

Mechanicsburg Area School District's Recreation Department is seeking a part-time Game Support Staff to help run games, operate the scoreboard and clock, collect admissions, and assist with field or gym setup.

The role supports the Recreation Game Manager on game days and on-site practices, communicates with coaches and spectators professionally, and helps ensure a safe, orderly environment for all participants.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ years old.
• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Previous experience in sports, officiating or facility support.
• Comfortable working evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate scoreboard/clock during games.
• Collect admissions and assist with field or gym setup.
• Maintain safe, organized environment for participants and spectators.
• Communicate professionally with coaches, referees, players and spectators; report incidents to recreation supervisor.
• Support Recreation Game Manager on game days and on-site practices.
