Job summary

Everstory Partners’ Montlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Raleigh, NC is seeking a part-time Funeral Director. You will meet with families, explain service options, and coordinate arrangements with care and professionalism.

You will perform embalming services as needed, direct funeral services, and lead a team of funeral professionals while ensuring compliance and compassionate support for grieving families. Availability on holidays and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Licensed funeral director with 1 year experience and 2 years post-secondary education.
• Ability to obtain state license; driving license required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with empathy.
• Ability to lead a team and work holidays/evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to arrange services and prepare contracts.
• Perform embalming services.
• Coordinate permits and documents.
• Direct funeral services and coordinate pallbearers.
• Escort clergy and manage logistics.
• Maintain cleanliness of prep area.
• Perform other related functions.
