Job summary

Lac du Flambeau Business Development Corp. seeks a dedicated Part-Time Fry Cook for our Popeyes kitchen team.

You will prepare Louisiana-style fried chicken and other menu items, following standardized recipes and safety standards, in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include monitoring temperatures, operating fryers and grills, maintaining cleanliness, assisting with inventory, and helping train new staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Comfortable using kitchen equipment and handling hot items.
• Food Safety Certification (or ability to obtain within 14 days of hire).
• ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain within 14 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook Popeyes menu items following standardized recipes and portion guidelines.
• Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food safety and quality.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as fryers, ovens, and grills safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, kitchen equipment, and food prep areas.
• Follow proper food handling and sanitation practices at all times.
• Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients by rotating and restocking supplies.
• Prepare breading and seasoning mixtures for chicken and other items.
• Assist with inventory tracking and food storage organization.
• Work collaboratively with team members to fulfill customer orders quickly and accurately.
• Help train new team members on kitchen procedures when needed.
• Minimize food waste through proper portioning and product handling.
• Communicate any equipment issues or safety concerns to management.
• Demonstrate reliability by maintaining regular attendance and punctuality.
• Support the team as needed in other areas of the restaurant.
