Job summary

The GIANT Company is seeking a part-time front-end associate to bag items at checkout, restock supplies, collect carts, and keep the front of the store clean. You will also assist with trash removal, vacuuming, and basic housekeeping while delivering friendly, helpful customer service.

Qualifications include being authorized to work in the U.S., the ability to follow safety rules, stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and complete the introductory period.

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner.
• Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job including but not limited to regular attendance.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 30 or 60 days.
• Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
• Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.
• Must have and maintain valid specialty licenses, certificates, or permits required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule and prepare for duties at shift start.
• Collect trash and operate the compactor.
• Perform housekeeping and keep floors and work areas clean.
• Collect and push carts to the front-end of the store.
• Demonstrate good customer service skills.
• Complete other duties as assigned by management.
