Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience
• Greet each customer and use their name whenever possible
• Unload customers' groceries from cart to belt for easier bagging
• Check the bottom of every cart and under baby seats for items before completing an order
• Scan customers' order and handle the payment transaction, per standard practice
• Follow procedures for refunds and error correction
• Maintain accurate cash control and stock at check lanes
• Identify customers needing assistance and offer to take the order to their car
• Keep front-end area neat and presentable and report malfunctions
• Perform cashier tasks or front-end management as needed to maintain service standards
