Job summary

You’ll follow cash handling procedures, support moments of high traffic, and may assist with Food Lion To-Go orders. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and strong communication skills to help customers efficiently.

Qualifications

• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to perform cashier and service center duties.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and use their name whenever possible.
• Unload customers' groceries from cart to belt and group items for bagging.
• Scan orders and handle payment transactions per standard practice.
• Follow cash handling procedures and assist with refunds and overrides.
• Assist customers with Food Lion To-Go orders when applicable.
