Job summary

Jolt is seeking a part-time front-end developer to help build features and optimize audience discovery. You’ll work 20–25 hours weekly with the tech lead, backend engineers, marketing, and data teams.

The ideal candidate learns quickly, handles media specs, communicates well, and thrives with deadlines in a fast-moving project. You’ll translate designs into React-based components, implement a design system, and ensure robust UI through code reviews and testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
• Solid foundation in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with hands-on experience building responsive, cross-browser web interfaces.
• Experience with a modern front end framework or library (e.g., React) and component-based UI development.
• Familiarity with version control (e.g., GitHub) and collaborative development workflows.
• Sharp ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to use designs and product requirements to create working, polished interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Build responsive, accessible web interfaces from supplied designs and mockups.
• Translate design concepts into clean, reusable front end components using modern JavaScript and TypeScript frameworks (e.g., React).
• Implement and maintain a consistent design system across the site.
• Connect the front end to our backend REST APIs, handling loading, error, and empty states cleanly.
• Build and maintain UI components for various film pages and other membership related flows.
• Participate in code review, testing, and launch checks to ensure features are reliable before they reach members.
