Job summary

Food Lion in Statesville, NC is hiring for a front-end associate to deliver fast, friendly service and maintain accurate cash handling. You will greet customers, bag items, assist with carry-outs, and ensure a clean, organized front end.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.

Responsibilities

Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience
Greet each customer and use their name when possible
Unload groceries from cart to belt for efficient bagging
Check cart bottoms and under seats for items before completing an order
Follow bagging procedures and scanning/payment processes
Follow procedures for refunds, cash handling and overrides
Identify customers needing assistance and offer to carry items to car
Maintain neat and clean front end presentation and report any issues to management
Complete CBT and training modules and perform other duties as assigned
