Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market is seeking a Front End Cashier to efficiently handle customer transactions at the front registers while maintaining a welcoming, energetic demeanor. You will ensure accurate cash handling, assist customers, and uphold store policies with attention to detail.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and prior grocery retail experience is preferred. Competitive weekly pay, flexible scheduling, and benefits are provided for eligible team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalence required.
• Preferred 1–2 years grocery retail experience in Front End.
• Experience in a natural foods industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Walks the store prior to each shift to identify promotions and sale items.
• Processes transactions and handles cash, checks, credit cards, or gift cards.
• Issues receipts, refunds, credits, rain checks or change due to customers.
• Operates cash register and scans items, displays totals, taxes and rebates.
• Greets customers and delivers friendly, prompt service.
• Maintains clean, organized checkout areas and ensures no personal items clutter the area.
• Issues coupons and rain checks; performs other duties as assigned.
