The role emphasizes accuracy in cash handling, quick POS operation, and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Training may be provided by management and the store director.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Accurately process customer transactions using the cash register and POS systems.
• Cash handling, including counting money, making change, and balancing the drawer at shift end.
• Process payments via cash, check, gift cards, credit/debit cards, coupons and other approved methods.
• Provide exceptional customer service: greet customers, answer questions, resolve issues per Cosentino’s standards.
• Follow procedures for government programs such as SNAP and WIC.
• Maintain a clean, organized checkout area with proper sanitation.
• Assist in training new cashiers as directed by management.
