Job summary

Cosentino's Food Stores in Leawood, KS is seeking a Part-time Cashier to support the front-end team from 2 pm to 8 pm. You will handle transactions quickly and accurately, greet customers, and help them find products while maintaining a clean checkout area.

Ideal candidates have basic cash handling knowledge, experience with cash registers, and strong communication in a fast-paced retail setting. A High School diploma is preferred. Training on Cosentino’s standards is provided.

Qualifications

General knowledge of cash handling procedures.
Working knowledge of cash register operation.
Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

Process customer transactions accurately using the POS system.
Handle cash, give change, and balance the cash drawer at shift end.
Accept payments via cash, check, gift cards, and cards; apply coupons as needed.
Follow procedures for government programs including SNAP and WIC.
Greet customers, answer questions and uphold Cosentino’s customer service standards.
Maintain a clean, organized checkout area and stock merchandise as needed.
Assist with training new cashiers as directed by management.
Participate in ongoing training per Cosentino’s Learning Plan.
