Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a friendly, customer-focused associate to provide fast, accurate service at the front end. You will greet customers, process transactions, and help maintain a clean, efficient checkout area in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with bagging, handling refunds, and ensuring accurate cash handling while upholding Food Lion standards and dress code. Prior experience in cashier roles is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and uses his or her name whenever possible.
• Scan customers' order and handles the payment transaction, per standard practice.
• Follow procedures for refunds and error correction.
• Maintain cash control and assist with bagging and cash handling.
