Job summary

Clarks Market Inc. in Blanding, UT is seeking a part-time Front-End Associate / Cashier to deliver exceptional service and handle transactions accurately.

You will assist bagging groceries, maintain a tidy checkout area, and support other front-end operations as needed. Responsibilities include greeting customers, resolving inquiries, processing payments, balancing drawers, scanning items, and supporting store departments during peak times while ensuring compliance with policies and safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Previous cashier or retail experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong math skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly at the checkout area.
• Address inquiries and resolve issues promptly and courteously.
• Assist customers with locating products in the store.
• Process cash, credit, debit, and other payments accurately.
• Balance the register at the start and end of shifts.
• Issue receipts, refunds, and changes accurately.
• Scan items and apply coupons and promotions per policy.
• Bag groceries efficiently and help load groceries if needed.
• Keep the checkout area clean and organized; restock supplies.
• Report equipment issues to the supervisor.
• Collaborate with front-end teammates and assist during peak times.
• Adhere to store policies, cash handling, customer service, and safety rules.
