Job summary

Kj’s Market is seeking a part-time cashier/guest service clerk to join our family-owned store. This role focuses on sales, cash handling, and friendly guest interactions to keep the front end running smoothly.

You will work with a welcoming team in a busy retail environment, providing attentive service, accurate cash handling, and timely processing of guest requests. Benefits and a supportive work culture are emphasized in our team.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 25 lbs occasionally and 15 lbs constantly.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Knowledge of front end operations.
• Ability to supervise hosts including training and development.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Effective communication and guests service skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Demonstrate successful use of math skills.
• Ability to work well with computers.

Responsibilities

• Sales, Cash and Invoice Accounting tasks; prepare weekly cash report and accompanying documentation.
• Cash Related Activities; prepare bank deposits and support cashier operations.
• Cash Office Security; ensure security and accountability of cash office.
• Cashier/Guest Service Clerk performance reports; conduct audits and ensure front-end efficiency.
• Process guests orders to ensure No Noticeable Wait policy is followed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
