Food Lion Windsor is seeking a friendly Front End Associate to deliver fast, accurate, and courteous service at the checkout and service desk. You will greet customers, scan items, handle payments, assist with bagging, and maintain a neat, welcoming lane.

Ideal candidates have strong communication and cash-handling abilities, physical stamina for standing and lifting up to 50 lbs, and a willingness to learn multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail environment. Training provided.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to perform the technical requirements of cashier and service center.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and use their name whenever possible.
• Unload groceries from cart to belt and group items for easy bagging.
• Check cart bottoms and under seats for items before completing an order.
• Follow correct bagging procedures for bag types.
• Scan orders and handle payment transactions per standard practice.
• Follow procedures for refunds and error correction.
• Maintain accurate cash control and report any register issues.
• Assist customers by offering to take orders to their car when needed.
• Maintain neat, clean front-end area and work station.
