Three Trails Behavioral Hospital in Independence, MO is hiring a Part Time Receptionist for our Intake Department. You will greet visitors, answer calls related to admissions, and assist with intake documentation to ensure accurate patient information.

As the first point of contact, you will maintain confidentiality under HIPAA, provide general information about admissions procedures, and support a welcoming reception area in a growing behavioral health facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous receptionist, admissions, or healthcare admin experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, especially in sensitive situations.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Basic computer proficiency (EHR systems and Microsoft Office preferred).
• Professional, calm, and compassionate demeanor.
• Experience in behavioral health or hospital setting is a plus.
• Ability to work Saturday and Sunday 8:00am-4:30pm. This will be a total of 16 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients, families, and visitors for intake and admissions
• Answer and route incoming calls related to admissions and inquiries
• Assist with intake documentation and ensure accuracy of patient information
• Verify basic patient information and assist with registration processes
• Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Monitor and maintain a professional, welcoming reception area
• Provide general information about services and admission procedures
