Job summary

NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) is seeking a part-time Front Desk Clerk to operate at the Navy Gateway Inn and Suites and Navy Lodge properties in Memphis, TN. The role demands friendly guest interactions, reservation processing, and maintaining a welcoming lobby environment.

You will manage check-in/out, handle guest questions, process payments, and coordinate with the Front Office team to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction across shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• One year of general office clerical experience.
• Progressively responsible experience related to guest services or front desk operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, professional contact with guests at Navy Gateway Inn and Suites or Navy Lodge.
• Handle reservations, check-in/check-out, and guest inquiries.
• Process payments and issue room receipts.
• Maintain lobby appearance and front desk records.
• Utilize Property Management System (PMS) for reservations and guest information.
• Assist in training Front Desk staff and coordinating with managers.
• Ensure security and privacy of guests and proper key control.
• Assist with breakfast setup and basic food handling as applicable.
