Job summary

Jacksonville State University's Little River Canyon Center is seeking a Part-Time Front Desk/Gift Shop Clerk to run the education store, welcome visitors, and support the auditorium's HD program. You will answer phones, assist guests and vendors, and help manage merchandise and cashier tasks at the canyon center gift shop.

Shifts run Monday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with occasional nights and weekend duties for special events.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Customer Service Experience.
• Sales Experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work nights and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment used in the theatre, gift shop, and library.
• Ensures operation of the HD Program in the Auditorium.
• Operates the front desk: answers the telephone in a kind and courteous manner, provides orientation to park visitors, and assists all customers.
• Assists the Manager with the general appearance and operation of the gift shop, including merchandise placement and cash register management.
• Provides assistance to artists, shop vendors, and caterers as needed.
• Notifies the Assistant Director of any issues that may arise.
• Promotes and enforces safe work practices.
