Job summary

Jacksonville State University’s Little River Canyon Center seeks a Part-Time Front Desk/Gift Shop Clerk to operate the education store, staff the visitor information desk, and assist with events.

Shifts are Monday through Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., occasional nights and weekends; anticipated start October 19, 2026. This on-site role offers part-time hours and customer-focused duties in a scenic campus setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience.
• Sales experience preferred.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate the front desk, gift shop cashier, and answer phones.
• Assist visitors and vendors and provide information.
• Manage the HD program in the auditorium.
• Maintain merchandise displays and cash register accuracy.
• Support artists, shop vendors, and caterers as needed.
• Promote safe work practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
