Job summary

Niagara University is seeking a part-time instructor to teach a single section of French 102 – Elementary French II during the Spring 2027 semester. The course meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 am to 11:50 am, beginning January 19.

The instructor will use a communicative approach to language teaching, employing the target language as much as possible and minimizing English for grammar clarification. A Master's degree is preferred.

• Native or near native French fluency.
• Thorough knowledge of subject matter.

Responsibilities

• Teach one section of French 102 – Elementary French II using a communicative approach.
• Prepare daily lesson plans and activities following a syllabus.
• Prepare and grade exams and quizzes using provided resources; manage online homework and grading platforms.
• Manage an online learning management system to post assignments and grades.
• Maintain class records and attendance.
• Be available for student appointments to address course material questions.
