Niagara University is seeking a part-time instructor to teach one section of French 102 – Elementary French II for Spring 2027. The class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 am to 11:50 am, starting January 19th.

Responsibilities include using a communicative, immersion approach, preparing daily lessons, and managing online platforms for assignments and grading. The ideal candidate has native or near-native French fluency, solid subject matter knowledge, and the ability to plan and present

• Thorough knowledge of subject matter.
• Ability to plan and present instructional material clearly and concisely.
• Ability to maintain proper teacher‑student relationships.

• Ability to navigate and manage multiple online platforms for communication and assessment.

Responsabilités

• Teach one section of French 102 – Elementary French II.
• Use a communicative approach to teaching a foreign language, maximizing target language use with minimal English.
• Prepare daily lesson plans and activities using a textbook per the syllabus.
• Prepare and grade chapter exams/quizzes; manage online homework resources and assessments.
• Manage an online learning management system to post assignments and grades.
• Maintain class records and attendance.
• Be available for student appointments to help with course material.
