Job summary

Michaels Stores in Lawrence, KS is seeking a retail associate to help customers create custom framing solutions and to ensure a well merchandised, in-stock store environment. You will assist customers, process framing orders, and support store operations from the sales floor to backroom duties.

Responsibilities include operating framing equipment, handling the cash register, stocking shelves, and contributing to omni-channel processes.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• Basic measuring skills required.
• Ability to operate framing equipment and glass cutter.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Experience selling products/services to customers.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers and help them find framing solutions.
• Complete framing orders with high quality and on time.
• Maintain ready-made frame department and related areas.
• Provide friendly customer service and keep store well merchandised and in-stock.
• Follow SOPs and Company programs.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Interact with others positively and serve as a role model.
• Assist with truck un-load and stocking to company standards and budgets.
• Operate cash register and handle cash to standards.
• Assist with Omni channel processes.
