Job summary

Penn State Hazleton Housing & Food Services is seeking two Part-Time Food Service Workers to support dining operations on campus. Two openings offer different evening and daytime shifts, with duties including food preparation, station setup, and maintaining safety and cleanliness standard across serving lines and displays.

The roles require knowledge of daily menus and portion control, and ongoing adherence to food safety guidelines and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items to be served such as salads, muffins, sandwiches, fruit, yogurt and other simple menu items as directed.
• Set up and check dishes, utensils, signs, condiments for serving lines and food bars.
• Maintain quality, freshness and cleanliness of food bars and serving areas; replace items not meeting standards.
• Set up displays and props for daily service and special events.
• Work on serving counters; be knowledgeable about daily menus and ingredients; ensure proper portions.
