Job summary

Penn State Hazleton Housing & Food Services seeks two Part-Time Food Service Workers to support daily dining operations. You will prepare simple menu items, set up serving lines, and keep service areas clean and well stocked.

Shifts include Monday–Friday 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or Sunday 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Monday–Thursday 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with emphasis on food safety, turnover, and teamwork in a fast-paced campus environment.

Qualifications

• Background checks may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare items such as salads, muffins, sauces and wraps for service.
• Set up dishes, utensils and condiments for serving lines.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food bars and stations.
• Monitor temperatures and portion sizes; rotate stock as needed.
• Assist with event setup and daily food displays.
