Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications Position Summary
This part time position involves food preparation, food serving, cleaning the food service areas and facilities. It works under direct supervision and follows written and/or oral procedures and practices. The employee implements procedures, methods, and activities developed by others.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And/or Competencies
Skilled in reading, writing and simple math. Ability to follow written and oral directions.

Light lifting, prolonged standing, and walking. Driving.

Duties/Responsibilities
Serve food at the dining hall; set up buffet lines and serve individual plates; interact with customers from young children to senior citizens.
Percentage of time 35 Duties/Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize the work area, operate a commercial dishwasher; clean chairs, tables and service lines; sweep and mop floors; clean windows, baseboards, blinds; walkways and walls of food service building.

Assist cooks in preparing and cooking food; assist with preparation of menu items.
