Consolidated Management is seeking a reliable Food Service Worker to join the team at Kansas City Kansas Community College. The role involves cooking, food prep, and front-of-house service in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on customer experience and safety.

The position is part-time with starting pay of $18 per hour. Candidate should be at least 18, able to stand long hours, pass background check, and work well as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience preferred.
• Knowledge of special diets preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old (position located within a jail facility).
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes.
• Support several aspects of a busy kitchen.
• Food Prep.
• Front Counter/Customer Service.
• Stocking and Cleaning - Salad Bar and Hot Bar.
• Assisting serving students and Staff from Hot Bar.
• Assisting with Catering Deliveries and Clean Up.
• Maintaining Dish Room.
• Closing Duties - Sweep, Mop, and Trash.
• Being a team player.
• Providing the ultimate customer experience.
• Ensure proper food preparation, handling, and storage.
• Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Present food in an appealing and appetizing manner.
• Assist with kitchen cleaning and sanitation.
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures.
