Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services at the University of Texas at Dallas is hiring a part-time Food Service Worker/Cashier. This role involves cashiering duties and general food service tasks in a campus dining environment.

Shifts are varied by the business needs; typical hours include 10:00 am to 8:30 pm on weekdays and 10:30 am to 6:00 pm on Fridays. Compensation ranges from $10.00 to $15.00 per hour, with full-time benefits offering medical, dental and more.

Qualifications

• Food service experience preferred.
• Performs cashiering duties and basic food service tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform prep work: wash, peel, cut fruits/vegetables and measure ingredients.
• Transport pans, kettles and trays between stations safely and restock supplies.
• Store foods with proper dating, wrapping and rotation.
• Maintain sanitation of work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner and handle complaints.
• Enter sales in the cash register and handle payments; issue receipts and refunds as required.
• Manage change funds and ensure cash drawer accuracy.
• Restock condiments and beverages and keep service area clean.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
