Job summary

Compass Group, North America is hiring a part-time Food Service Worker for Saint Joseph Center in Scranton, PA. The role offers a 3:00 pm–6:00 pm schedule on weekdays and Sunday 10:00 am–6:00 pm, with online applications accepted only.

Prior food service experience is preferred but not required, and the company will provide training. Pay ranges from $14.00 to $15.00 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package for full- and part-time staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.
• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator.
• Stores food following wrapping, dating and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilizes approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality and serving temperatures.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following steps of service.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with service standards, inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assures compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
