Job summary

Gordon Food Service Store LLC in Lansing, IL is hiring a team member to assist in meat and cheese prep, sandwiches, and beverage preparation. You will follow all food safety procedures and may help with stocking or cashiering when needed.

Minimum 16 years of age, strong customer service, multitasking ability, and the capacity to lift up to 50 lbs are required. We offer advancement opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sliced meats and cheeses, make sandwiches and wraps.
• Juicing ingredients for beverages.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Fill in other areas such as stocking, cashiering or other food production during down times.
• Use Rotisserie Oven up to 3 times per day.
• Cook chicken and other items with broaster as needed.
• Take temperatures of cooked and cold foods.
• Change oil in broasters.

What will you do:

• Preparing sliced meats (must be 18 years of age to operate meat slicer) and cheeses, making sandwiches and wraps.
• Juicing: prepare ingredients used to create beverages for customers.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Will fill in other areas such as stocking, cashiering or other food production areas during down times.
• Use Rotisserie Oven to cook up to 3 times per day.
• Utilize a broaster, to cook chicken tenders, chicken wings, or other chicken items, fish and potato wedges as needed.
• Take temperatures of cooked foods and cold foods.
• Change oil in broasters.
