Job summary

Select Custom Solutions in La Crosse, WI is seeking a Product Development Intern for Spring 2027. The role offers hands-on experience in food product development, including ingredient handling, sample preparation, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Hours are flexible, about 20 per week, January through May 2027, on site. You will learn GMPs, inventory management, and the product development lifecycle while supporting the Innovation team.

Qualifications

• Completion of one year in a Bachelor's Degree program with technical and/or scientific coursework required.
• Minimum one year of experience in a professional lab environment.
• Ability to read batch formulations and weigh ingredients accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform data entry accurately using Word, Excel, and related databases.
• Read batch formulations and weigh ingredients with a scale.
• Verify ingredient availability and prepare labels and inserts.
• Coordinate with Innovation, Sales, and CX to meet sample delivery dates.
• Prepare and ship samples with proper packaging and paperwork by UPS deadline.
• Inventory management using barcode scanning and inventory systems.
