Job summary

Harris Teeter in Bristow, VA is seeking a part-time Floral Associate responsible for processing, packaging, stocking and maintaining floral products according to standards, cleaning work areas, and providing excellent customer service.

Duties may include performing produce clerk tasks when assigned. Must be at least 16, able to read and write in English, and able to lift up to 20 pounds. Emphasis on teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
• Ability to write simple correspondence in English.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and associates who only speak English.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and operate in a physically active environment.

Responsibilities

• Process, package, stock, and maintain floral products according to standards.
• Clean work areas and ensure organization of the floral department.
• Provide customer service, unload stock, and reload salvage as needed.
• Perform duties of produce clerk when assigned.
