Job summary

Briarwood Nursing and Rehab in Flint, Michigan is seeking a Floor Care Technician to join our environmental services team on a part-time basis. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for residents and staff through diligent cleaning and sanitizing.

Responsibilities include cleaning rooms and common areas, operating floor scrubbers and buffers, emptying trash, restocking supplies, and assisting with deep cleaning.

Qualifications

• Part-time schedule with variable hours and shifts.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize rooms, corridors, and common areas to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Operate industrial cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers and buffers, to clean floors and remove dirt and debris.
• Empty trash and recyclables, and replace liners in trash cans and recycling bins.
• Restock supplies and materials, including paper products, toiletries, and linens.
• Participate in deep cleaning and disinfection of high-touch areas and surfaces.
• Perform special cleaning projects as assigned by the supervisor.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure that all areas of the facility are clean and well-maintained.
