Job summary

Windsor-Nursing-and-Rehabilitation-Center-of-Duva is seeking a Floors Tech to perform daily housekeeping tasks in a nursing facility. You will follow schedules, coordinate with nursing staff, and maintain sanitation and safety in resident rooms and common areas.

The role requires the ability to lift 25 pounds and work with ill or elderly residents, with adherence to facility policies and safety guidelines. You will help ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Must follow current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our facility.
• Able to push, pull, move, and lift a minimum of 25 pounds and reach a height of 5 feet.
• Must relate to and work with ill, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned.
• Follow cleaning schedules and coordinate daily housekeeping with nursing services.
• Report accidents/incidents to supervisor and attend departmental meetings as directed.
• Clean work/supply carts and equipment and store them properly after use.
• Assist in evacuation of residents during emergencies if needed.
• Maintain care and use of supplies/equipment and inspect resident rooms/units for sanitation and safety.
