Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and specimen collections per age related standards.
• Provides appropriate post-phlebotomy patient care.
• Identifies need for patient medical assistance and calls codes as appropriate.
• Reviews/Records refrigerator temperatures and QC/QA records; reports issues.
• Label and process specimens according to established protocols and policies.
• Procure blood specimens from infant, adult, geriatric and wheelchair-bound patients.
• Demonstrates competency for age-related responsibilities.
