The Learning Experience - Ledgewood, NJ is seeking a dependable Part-Time Floater Teacher to support afternoon classrooms and help close the day for children and families. This role offers a short, consistent weekday schedule (3:00 PM–6:00 PM), with no nights or weekends, and paid training to build your childcare and early education experience.

You will assist across classrooms, engage children with play and activities, and ensure safe, clean environments while meeting New Jersey licensing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous childcare/daycare/preschool experience preferred.
• Reliable and consistently available 3:00 PM–6:00 PM.
• Positive, energetic, flexible, and team-oriented.
• Able to meet New Jersey childcare licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide afternoon support across early childhood classrooms.
• Assist teachers with activities, transitions, and pick-up routines.
• Engage children through play, art, music, movement, and outdoor activities.
• Assist with snacks, classroom cleanup, and end-of-day routines.
• Provide classroom coverage as needed to maintain required ratios.
• Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized classroom environments.
• Follow New Jersey childcare licensing requirements.

Part-Time Floater Teacher - Daycare & Preschool

Location: The Learning Experience - Ledgewood, NJ
Pay: $17-$18 per hour
Schedule: Part-Time, Monday-Friday | 3:00 PM-6:00 PM

The Learning Experience - Ledgewood is seeking a dependable and energetic Part-Time Floater Teacher to support our classrooms during the afternoon and closing hours.

This position is ideal for someone looking for a
short, consistent weekday schedule, including students or anyone with morning commitments. You'll support different classrooms throughout the center and help create a positive end to the day for children and families.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide afternoon support across early childhood classrooms
• Assist teachers with activities, transitions, and pick-up routines
• Engage children through play, art, music, movement, and outdoor activities
• Assist with snacks, classroom cleanup, and end-of-day routines
