Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Part-time Client Office Phlebotomist-Float to perform phlebotomy and related lab duties across multiple sites. You will drive to client sites in Lansing, Grand Rapids, and Eaton Rapids, collecting specimens while maintaining patient safety and accurate documentation.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, phlebotomy certification or training, and familiarity with EMR systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification or formal training in phlebotomy preferred.
• Familiarity with medical EMR systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and other lab specimen collections per age-related standards.
• Provides appropriate post-phlebotomy patient care.
• Identifies need for patient medical assistance and calls codes as appropriate.
• Reviews refrigerator temperatures and QC/QA records and reports issues to supervisor.
• Procures and labels specimens accurately and follows established lab protocols.
• Communicates test orders and results to client office staff; supports timely specimen processing.
• Travels to client sites in Lansing, Grand Rapids, and Eaton Rapids as needed.
