Job summary

Sage Haus LLC. is seeking a Household Manager & Family Assistant in Chicago, IL 60618 for a part-time role at 15 hours per week. The position offers three 5-hour shifts with some flexibility, including occasional evening or overnight coverage.

Compensation ranges $32–$37 per hour, start ASAP. The family is looking for an organized, proactive individual who can manage household systems, meals, errands, pet care, and light childcare as needed, while keeping a calm, warm presence for two working

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a household or family assistant role
• Comfortable working around young children and a calm 70 lb dog
• Maintain a smoke-free environment
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Reliable transportation (vehicle preferred; mileage reimbursement provided)
• Ability to navigate multiple flights of stairs throughout the day
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain household organization systems (pantry, kids’ gear, toys) and manage clutter
• Daily tidying resets: wipe surfaces, run dishwasher, light vacuuming
• Prep the home before cleaning visits
• Seasonal clothing/décor swaps and size sorting for kids' clothes
• Coordinate donation drops-offs and outreach to local groups
• Assist with gatherings and holidays prep
• Pack/unpack for family travel and post-trip laundry
• Maintain air purifiers and humidifiers
• Laundry: wash/fold/organize with kids’ clothes as priority; occasional dry cleaning
• Manage pantry/fridge supplies and restock items
• Handle online grocery/shopping orders and mail/packages
• Grocery shopping for family meals and errands
• Plan and prepare 1–2 family dinners weekly; prep produce; batch lunches
• Coordinate scheduling with cleaners/contractors; maintain maintenance calendar
• Pet care: occasional dog walking; restock pet food
• Backup childcare during daycare closures and date nights; occasional overnight coverage
• Deep cleaning and seasonal projects; help with yard tasks if interested
• Administrative support: manage family calendar; travel research; reimbursements
