Job summary

Harlem Children’s Zone (HCZ) is seeking a passionate Flag Football Coach to support the Promise Academy After School program. The role focuses on developing a comprehensive flag football curriculum, daily conditioning, drills, and a playbook, while mentoring students and engaging families.

The ideal candidate has a college degree, youth coaching experience, strong football knowledge, and excellent leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must have strong knowledge and understanding of football.
• Experience working with youth and adolescent population.
• Ability to travel to away games or events.
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
• Committed to HCZ mission and programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and execute the flag football athletics curriculum.
• Lead daily conditioning, drills, and strategic plays.
• Communicate with students, colleagues and parents.
• Monitor student progress on field and in classroom.
• Collaborate with staff on performance and schoolwork.
• Maintain communication with Athletics Program Director.
• Build positive relationships promoting wellness and self-esteem.
• Serve as a positive role model for students.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
