YMCA of Central Florida is seeking a part-time group fitness instructor in Titusville. You will lead inclusive workouts, ensure member safety, and provide excellent service in a dynamic, community-focused setting.

Responsibilities include teaching classes, tracking attendance, adjusting routines on-the-fly, and promoting programs such as Personal Training and Youth Development. Must be 18+, carry CPR/First Aid, and have a current group-ex certification or related degree.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certification preferred prior to hire; must obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to choreograph music with group exercise movements.
• Desire and ability to work with people of all ages, improving health and fitness at all levels.
• Friendly, customer service–oriented attitude with members and fellow employees.
• Certified Group Exercise Certification from one of the listed organizations or a 4-year degree in Exercise Science/Kinesiology/Physical Therapy; must be current and in good standing.

Responsabilités

• Creates and leads an inclusive workout that motivates participants to work to their highest potential.
• Maintains working knowledge of group fitness trends to provide effective information and support to members.
• Arrives prepared and on time to all classes and provides clear instructions for all members.
• Track class attendance utilizing current systems
• Coordinate movement within tempo of the music for appropriate formats in all components of a class.
• Modify choreography/workout on the spot based on participants' needs and abilities.
• Actively recruits and retains group exercise participants.
• Upsell programs including Personal Training, Group Exercise, Youth Sports, Aquatics & Youth Development.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned/returned to proper place after classes
• Report accidents/incidents to supervisor and follow injury reporting procedures.
• Respond to emergency situations or when first aid is necessary
• Enforce safety rules fairly and with tact.
• Maintain up-to-date Group Exercise certifications as required by the Association.
